The Backbone of Next-Generation Trading Firms

October 2026 at a glance

October brought together product development, industry conversations and a closer look at the partnerships supporting firms on Axcera. Our teams made further progress on the new Back office Portal, we attended the London Prop Trading Expo, and we shared updates on our work with RUBIK and PropLaunch.

In November, we will showcase the new Back office Portal to selected Axcera clients to gather product feedback while development continues. We are excited to share our progress and hear how the proposed experience fits into their day-to-day operations.

For existing Axcera clients, this is an update on where we are investing. For those getting to know Axcera, it is a look at the product direction, expertise and relationships behind our platform.

Back office Portal: moving towards the first previews

Throughout October, we continued work on the new Back office Portal, one of our largest ongoing product projects. The focus has been on how teams navigate their daily work, find the information they need and move between different parts of the operation.

We are using the redesign to examine the experience as a whole. An operator should be able to understand what is happening on an account, identify what needs attention and reach the relevant information without unnecessary steps. As activity grows, those everyday interactions become increasingly important.

Our priorities are simpler workflows, clearer organization, better visibility and more scope to reduce manual administration. These are the improvements guiding development, with the aim of making the platform easier to work with as a business becomes more complex.

A central ambition for the new Back office Portal is to put significantly more control in the hands of trading firm operators. As we outlined in earlier updates, Axcera is evolving towards a platform that firms can increasingly configure and operate themselves. The new Back office Portal is an important part of that direction: giving teams more autonomy over their setup and day-to-day operations, with less reliance on Axcera for routine changes. We are building towards an experience that lets operators shape how they run their businesses while Axcera provides the underlying infrastructure.

For participating Axcera clients, the upcoming previews will provide a first look at that progress and an opportunity to give feedback. For firms considering Axcera, the project reflects our continued investment in the operational experience behind the platform. Alongside the Back office Portal, we are also making progress on perpetual trading. With interest in perpetual trading continuing to grow, this is an area we are excited to be working on, and we look forward to announcing more soon.

The Back office Portal is still in development. November’s showcases will give selected Axcera clients an opportunity to review the work so far and help shape the product before further rollout. Their feedback will inform how we refine the workflows, functionality and overall experience as development progresses.

Connecting in London: Prop Trading Expo 2026

At the end of October, Axcera attended the London Prop Trading Expo, held on 23 and 24 October at Old Billingsgate.

It was a welcome opportunity to reconnect with industry colleagues, meet new businesses and discuss the practical side of building and operating a trading firm.

Spending time with people across the industry is an important part of our work. Product development happens throughout the year, but face-to-face conversations provide space to discuss business plans, operational challenges and the questions that sit behind a technology decision.

Five themes came up repeatedly across both days: more technology providers competing on price, launch costs falling while scaling costs stay high, established firms reviewing their technology providers, forex brokers needing a clearer case for dedicated prop CRMs, and relationships still driving most new business.

For us, the value of an event continues after it ends. We look forward to following up with the people we met and exploring where Axcera can support their plans.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to connect with us in London. If we did not get the chance to speak, our team would be happy to arrange a conversation.

RUBIK: connecting technology with risk expertise

In October, we shared a closer look at our collaboration with RUBIK and its direct integration with Axcera. The relationship combines Axcera’s account controls and operational data with RUBIK’s specialist risk analysis.

The integration connects relevant platform data with RUBIK’s analytical and review workflows. For firms using its services, this can reduce the manual work involved in assembling context and help reviewers examine activity across accounts and programs.

Why does this matter? A payout total or an isolated account event rarely explains the whole picture. Teams need access to the underlying information and the expertise to interpret it. Our collaboration brings those two elements closer together.

The full article explains the respective roles of Axcera and RUBIK, how the integration supports reviews and what this means for growing prop firms.

PropLaunch: supporting founders from the outset

We also announced our collaboration with PropLaunch and RUBIK to help founders establish their own prop trading businesses.

Each partner brings a distinct role: PropLaunch provides onboarding and operational services, Axcera supplies the technology infrastructure, and RUBIK supports risk management and payout reviews.

For a founder, coordinating these capabilities independently can involve multiple providers and separate setup processes. Bringing them together offers a more coordinated starting point, with the technology and operational requirements considered alongside one another.

This partnership is specifically focused on prop trading. It complements our direct work with established operators and gives new entrants another route to build their businesses with Axcera’s technology underneath.

From the blog: ideas worth revisiting

Alongside October’s partnership news, two recent pieces provide useful context for the operational improvements we are working towards. If you missed them, both are worth adding to your reading list.

The Self-Running Prop Firm: Where Automation Actually Pays Off looks at the work that happens before a decision: checking queues, gathering account details and preparing cases. It explains how Event Triggers and the API can support workflows that bring relevant information to the team, while human judgement remains central. Read the automation article.

What comes next: November previews and a broader platform

In November, our focus is on showcasing the Back office Portal to selected Axcera clients and gathering their product feedback. These sessions are a chance to test our thinking with the teams who will use it, identify what needs refinement and feed those insights into ongoing development before further rollout.

Alongside that project, we are developing a broker solution. Prop trading remains an important part of Axcera, while our roadmap is expanding to address the operational needs of brokerage businesses as well. We will share more as that work develops.

Our commitment to innovation connects these efforts. We want to give trading firms better ways to run their businesses, with more control over information, less repetitive work and greater flexibility in how they organize their operations. The new Back office Portal and broker development are important parts of that direction.

Thank you to our clients, partners and team for their contribution throughout October. We look forward to sharing the next stage of our progress in November.
