Product Owner (Sports)
Axcera is looking for a driven and experienced Product Owner to join our team and
take ownership of our product development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have a
strong background in defining product features, managing priorities, and
collaborating closely with development teams to deliver high-quality solutions.This
role requires the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions, along
with experience in modern cloud infrastructure and backend development
frameworks like AWS and the MERN stacks. Experience in the online sports betting
industry is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Vision and Strategy: Define and communicate the product vision and
strategy based on market analysis, user feedback, and business objectives. - Backlog Management: Prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring
alignment with business priorities and technical feasibility. - Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and
prioritize requirements, ensuring clear and concise user stories and
acceptance criteria. - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with development, design, and
QA teams to ensure timely and successful product releases. - Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance and direction to development
teams, translating business requirements into actionable development tasks. - Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement of the product
development process, incorporating feedback and lessons learned from each
release cycle. - Market and Competitor Analysis: Conduct market research and competitor
analysis to identify opportunities for product enhancement and
differentiation. - Release Planning: Coordinate release planning and deployment schedules,
ensuring smooth and efficient delivery of features and updates. - User Experience (UX) Optimization: Collaborate with UX/UI designers to
create intuitive and user-friendly product experiences.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience as a Product Owner or in a
similar role, preferably in a technology-driven environment. - Industry Experience: Prior experience working in the online sports betting
industry. - Product Management: Proven track record of managing end-to-end product
lifecycle from ideation to launch and iteration. - Technical Knowledge: Experience in modern cloud infrastructure and backend
development frameworks like AWS and the MERN stacks. - Agile Methodologies: Experience with Agile development practices,
particularly Scrum or Kanban. - Stakeholder Management: Strong communication and interpersonal skills
with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with cross-functional
teams. - Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a
data-driven approach to decision-making.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications: Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar Agile
certifications. - Industry Knowledge: Understanding of industry trends, best practices, and
emerging technologies in software development and cloud infrastructure.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
